Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The following identifies the functional requirements which meet the government's requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The incorporated document, provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular_2005_21. Solicitation no VA-241-08-RQ-0058 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a 100% set aside for small business participants. The NAICS code is 811310, size standard $6.5 (in millions of dollars). F.O.B. is Destination. STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall perform semi-annual preventive maintenance inspection of air compressors located at the VAMC Providence, RI in accordance with current industry standards. There are twenty different pumps and compressors manufactured by approximately ten different manufacturers. They are all located within building one at the VAMC. Contractor can schedule an appointment to view all equipment with Bob Caizzi at 401-273-7100 ext 2102. Services include but are not limited to inspection of all parts, gauges, etc. Lubrication and check /clean after and inter coolers. A statement of completion showing work that was accomplished during the maintenance inspection will be given to the COTR and the Contracting Officer upon completion of the inspections.
