- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. You may also access information on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm This is a synopsis for SR-GMVAS. The SR-GMVAS System will be installed on military ground vehicles of various types, but other platforms may be utilized. The SR-GMVAS System shall provide short-range surveillance, identification, detection and tracking capabilities in all light and weather conditions. To provide this ability it is anticipated this system will include available technologies like low light level, thermal, I2, and/or CCD cameras or thermal imagers. The enhanced visual images will be transmitted to the operator via a night vision compatible display or possibly a HUD, which will be capable of displaying fused images to provide optimal viewing. The operator will be able to control the Field of View (FOV) and Field of Regard (FOR) with a control mechanism. SR-GMVAS shall also have a pan and tilt mechanism for the sensor module. The tracking capability will be provided via the pan and tilt mechanism (manually by the operator) and enhanced by an infrared (IR) poin ter/ illuminator integral to the sensor module. These systems are anticipated to be procured utilizing FAR Part 15 with full and open competition on a ?Best Value? basis. Two (2) product samples will be required with each proposal 60 days from the issue date on the solicitation. It is estimated that the solicitation will result in a five (5) year ordering period Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a minimum of five (5) ea., and maximum of: 400ea.
