- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment to BAA W911W6-08-R-0002 is to publish all questions and responses received and provided to date. Topic 01-2008: 1. What Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is the Government expecting for the durability solution? The Government is expecting an ending TRL of 6 for the durability solution regarding Topic 01-2008. Topic 02-2008: 1. Are acoustic technologies of interest to the Government limited to on blade technologies or can they be aircraft configuration and/or operational technique technologies? Acoustic technologies of interest to the Government are limited to on-blade techn ologies (main and/or tail), not aircraft configuration and/or operational technique technologies. 2. Do vibration reductions refer to 1P (once per revolution), NP (multiple cycles per revolution) or both? Topic 02-2008 vibration reductions refer to both 1P and NP. 3. Does increasing blade maximum loading by at least 16% refer to the maneuver loads (i.e. not steady loads)? The maximum blade loading increase by at least 16% refers to steady loads. The associated TDA and ASSP technology goal concerns sustained max blade loading. 4. The current US Army inventory, from which the offeror is to choose a baseline aircraft, is articulated rotor helicopters. Is the Government also interested in technologies only applicable to compound and/or tiltrotor aircraft? Does the Government see benefits to technologies applicable to conventional and advance rotorcraft configurations? The Government is not interested in technologies only applicable to compound and/or tiltrotor aircraft but does see benefits to technologies applicable to conventi onal and advance rotorcraft configurations. Topics 01-2008, 02-2008 and 03-2008: 1. Could the Government authorize the proposals priced by fiscal year or by quarter instead of by month? The Announcement requires a funding profile with a cost breakdown by month be included within the cost proposal. This information is required to est imate fiscal year costs in the event the award date (which may not correspond to the start of a FY or quarter) is earlier or later than the proposed start date. 2. Could the Government authorize the proposals priced by high level WBS? The structure of the cost proposal as stated in the Announcement is required for various reasons and it is not our intent to modify the Announcement and change the requested format . 3. If an offeror were to propose several technologies and the Government liked only one or two, could the Government choose only part of the proposal for negotiation and funding? It is the Government's intent to award full proposalshowever, there is not hing that prohibits the Government from funding only part of a proposal.
