- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N62786-08-T-0002 applies. Quotes must be received by 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 14, 2007 to be considered. The RFQ, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-21 and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20071108. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before 20 December 2007. Supervisor of Ship building, C&R, USN has a requirement to provide coach type bus with capacity for 44 or more passengers for daily runs between Bath and Brunswick, Maine beginning 07 January 2008 and ending on 25 April 2008. The purpose of these daily runs is to transport personnel assigned to the Precommissioning Unit, Bath, Maine. There will be 3 runs per day. The draft schedule has been provided (attached). Bus driver(s) must be qualified and hold a current Maine State driver?s license. The number of buses required at any one time may be one or two coach type busses. To be eligible for award, prospective contractors must be a DOD approved carrier and hold a current Military Bus Agreement with The Military Surface Deployment & Distribution Command (SDDC). The Approved list is located at www.sddc.army.mil. FOB point is Destination. The solicitation is restricted to Small Businesses under NAICS 485410, Size Standard is $6.5 Million. The contractor will provide all labor, mate rials, equipment, transportation, facilities, utilities, supervision a nd management in accordance with the Military Bus Agreement.
