- Description
- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal for a full and open competition for a Quality Assurance Program course. The type of contract will be Requirements, Firm Fixed Price and the period of performance will be for a one year base period and four one year options. Proposals may be submitted by all qualified business concerns (i.e. large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, small women-owned, etc.) The objective of this requirement is to provide a Quality Assurance Course for U.S. NRC inspectors and other personnel that will provide them with the necessary understanding needed to inspect various nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards during all phases of construction, testing and operation, in order to identify conditions which may adversely affect the health and safety of the public. This program must be developed and implemented in compliance with applicable NRC regulations and license conditions, and identifies situations that may adversely affect the health and safety of workers and the public. The contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, materials and services to develop and present a training course. The course shall be taught no more than 3 times per year. The course shall be approximately 4.5 days in duration. The courses will most likely be presented at the NRC Headquarters in Rockville, MD, NRC Technical Training Center in Chattanooga, TN, or at the Region II Office in Atlanta, GA. This requirement does not anticipate subcontracts; therefore a small business subcontracting plan is not required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 611430 and the size standard is $6.5 million. The preferred method of distributing the NRC Procurement information will be through Federal Business Opportunities website which is located at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation to ensure that it has been received in its entirety and NRC bears no responsibility for data error resulting from this transmission. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation will be posted on fbo.gov (The Government Point of Entry (GPE) on or around November 8, 2007. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any costs associated with responding to this solicitation.
