Description
Arcata Associates Inc. intends to issue via full and open competition, a solicitation to provide Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software for a turnkey system that shall provide Voicemail service that will integrate with the existing Astra/Intecom 6880 point span Private Branch Exchange (PBX). The turnkey system shall include all hardware, software, extended warranty, maintenance, travel, perdiem, training, installation and implementation at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), AL, with an option for the same type of requirement at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), New Orleans, LA. This new turnkey system shall be a replacement for the existing voicemail system at MSFC and MAF. The replacement for the voicemail system at MAF will be optional. The solution shall be a basic voicemail system with current technology. The system shall be configured so that optional components can be added as needed per requirements. The existing voicemail systems at MSFC and MAF are not considered software or hardware redundant. The proposed replacement system shall include an option for software and hardware redundancy. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via e-mail in approximately fifteen (15) days from the posted date of this synopsis to the firms that respond to this synopsis. The RFP will include technical documentation (SOW), and all relevant information for proposal preparation.. Interested and responsible parties shall provide sufficient information not later than Dec 21, 2007 such as company name, point of contact, business size, a brief history of similar services via e-mail to kaye.h.pettus@msfc.nasa.gov to request a copy of the RFP. Responses received after Dec 21, 2007 will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. The solicitation number must be noted on the request for the RFP 030ARC49470. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE "NOT" ACCEPTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers at http://procurement.nasa.gov . This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet the accessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 7941). The specific Technical Standards that apply will be identified in the solicitation. In responding to any solicitation subsequent to this synopsis, you must state if the products offered meet the identified Technical Standards. Additional information regarding Section 508 can be obtained from the General Services Administration at http://www.section508.gov/ or from the Arcata point of contact identified in this announcement.
