- Description
- The purpose of this acquisition is to provide Fire Protection, Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services(FEMS) for Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL on a 24-hour 7 day a week basis. Performance requirements include fire protection, structural firefighting, aircraft rescue firefighting, shipboard firefighting, fire support for mission related launch activities, technical/confined space and high angle rescue, fire prevention, inspections and education programs, firefighter education, training and certification program, initial hazardous material response, emergency medical response,patient transportation and emergency management services. This list is not all inclusive. The successful contractor shall be required to support agencies that may include Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU), the Department of the Army, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and other military and civilian agencies as directed. This is an unrestricted, full and open competitive acquisition. This service is determined non-commercial in accordance with FAR Part 12. Multiple awards are not contemplated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 922160 with a size standard of $6.5M. The service classification code is R-Professional, Administrative and Management Support Services. Performance Price Trade-Off with Technical Proposal procedures will be used. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the 45 Space Wing. Information concerning this forthcoming acquisition has been and will continue to be incrementally released and posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Technical Data will be available in FedTeDS. A link to FedTeDS will be included in the FedBizOpps posting containing the final Request for Proposal (RFP). The release of the RFP is anticipated on or about 14 Dec 07 with a closing date on or about 29 Jan 08. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held on or about 8 Jan 08. The Past Performance Volume will be due on or about 14 Jan 08. The Price and Mission Capability Volumes will be due on or about 29 Jan 08. The contract Transition/Phase-in Period is anticipated as 1 Jul 08 thru 30 Sep 08. The contract period of performance is anticipated as 1 Oct 08 thru 30 Sep 09 with two 1-year option periods.
