Description
This is being reposted formally W911RZ-08-T-JM02 just for 1 day to clarify the numbers. There will be a total of 7700 personnel attending this event from 12 December 2007 thru 19 January 2008. All requirements are the same as previously posted. Th is is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format contained FAR Subpart 12.6. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. QUOTES ARE REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotes shall refe r ence Request for Quotes (RFQ) number W911RZ-08-T-JM02a. This announcement incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-20 and FAR 52.212-1. It is the Contractor's responsibility to be familiar with all app licable c lauses and provisions. This requirement is Unrestricted. The NAICS code for this procurement is 721110 with a small business size standard of $6.5mil. Quotes shall include: CLIN 0001. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR Reintegration Trai ning 12 Dec 07 19 Jan 08 Group A: 2-2ID (12 Dec 07 19 Jan 07) Group B: 984th MP CO (18-20 Dec) Group C: 32 Trans CO (18, 20-21 Dec) 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this training is to conduct Department of the Army mandated Reintegration Training for Soldiers returning from deployment to Iraq/Kuwait IAW AR 600-20 (Army Command Policy) and the Deployme nt Cycle Support Directive (dtd 26 Ma rch 2007). 2. SCOPE OF WORK. Services to be provided each day shall include 1) Two General Session rooms to accommodate 150 persons (Group A) and 250 persons (Group B) and break out training rooms that will accommodate 10-100 persons per room in a theater type envi ronment 3) minor audio visual aids (screens, extension cords, and power strips) for each training room, 4) podium in each room 5) skirted table for audio/visual and chairs to accommodate the rooms previously described. 6) One skirted table with water and cups 7) internet access capabilities (wireless or cable LAN), 8) AM Break to include 1-cup of coffee per person, tea and water 9) PM Break to include lemonade, coffee, ice tea, assorted s odas and cookies. Services will be required daily during the prescr ibed period from 0700 -1700 hours, except on Sundays (16, 23, 30 Dec 07; 6, 13 Jan 08) and 25 Dec 07 (Christmas Day) and 1 Jan 08 (New Years Day), a total of 32 days. Working Style Buf fett Lunch. 3. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE. The objective is to reintegrate Soldiers and their families after an arduous deployment to Iraq/Kuwait/Afghanistan for 12-15 months. Army Community Service (ACS), in conjunction with an interdisciplina ry team of professionals and the Directorate of Plans, Training and Mobilization (DPTM) will conduct reintegration training in accordance with the Department of the Army Deployment Cycle Support Directive. Training will be conducted for 2 BCT/2ID from 12 Dec 07 through 19 Jan 08. 984th MP CO will fall in for training 18-20 Dec 07. 32d Trans CO will fall in for training 18, 20-21 Dec 07). All participants are expected to complete three days of training. It is critical to minimize any disruptions to the training once it is in progress. The most likely disrupti ons would occur by releasing attendees to lunch at locations off the training site. The Soldiers attending this training have not driven on Colorado roads for 12-15 months which creates signifi cant risks, particularly during periods of increased traffic vo lume. 4. SPECIFICATIONS. a. APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR ALL TRAINING DAYS. (1) Must have a three (3) star or better rating. (2) Must be lo cated within 5 miles of Fort Carson. (3) Must have secure storage space for audio visual equipment and materials (4 Mu st provide an AM break with coffee (caffeinated and decaffeinated), hot tea, juice and water for 300 people (18-21 Dec surge to 610) (5) Must provide a PM break with iced tea, coffee (caffeinated and deca ffeinated), and lemonade for 300 people (18-21 Dec surge to 610) (6) Must provide 1 planners office. (7) Must provide 1 registration areas (3 will be required 18-21 Dec.) (8) Must provide minimum of 6 skirted tabl es for handouts and displays to be determined by the coordinator. b. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS BY DAY. (3-Day Format) DAY 1 AM (1) Group A will require 1 large thea ter style room for 150 persons and 5 on premise meeting rooms to accommodate 35-50 persons (3 rooms will be theater seating and 2 rooms will have round tables to seat 8-10 people. PM (2) Group A will require 2 large theater style rooms to acc ommodate 150 each. All Day (3) Must have 1 six foot skirted tables with Audio/Visual equipment (power cables, power strips) in each meeting room (5) Must be able to provide 1 podium with microphone in each of the large room s (6) Must have 1 six foot skirted table with water available to participants in each conference room DAY 2 AM ((1) Group A will require 1 large theater style room for 150 persons and 5 on premise meeting rooms to accommodate 35-50 per sons (3 rooms will be theater seating and 2 rooms will have round tables to seat 8-10 people. PM (2) Group A will require 2 large theater style rooms to accommodate 150 each. Group A will also require (2) Group will require 5 small rooms (3 theater style seating to a ccommodate 35-50 persons and two in rounds of 8-10 to accommodate 40-50 persons) (3) Group A will require 6 small rooms to accommodate 20-25 each. PM (1) Group A will require 3 large theater style rooms, one to accommodate 300 persons, and two to accommoda te 150 persons each. All Day (1) Must have 1 six foot skirted tables with Audio/Visual equipment (power cables, power strips) in each meeting room (2) Must be able to provide 1 podium with microphone in each large theater style room. (3) Must have one six foot skirted table with drinks available to participants in each training room 5. GENERAL. a. The Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials to assist in the performance of the conference t o include room set up, tear down, audio visual hook ups and operation unless otherwise noted or agreed upon in advance. b. Large meeting rooms will have the capacity to seat 250 persons in a classroom/theater setting. c. Large meeting r ooms will have podium with microphone and audio tie-in for computer used in the presentations. If bidding an equal, please include specs with your bid.
