- Request for Information/Sources Sought Pulse-coded radio transmitters for fishery research Sources Sought Synopsis - This is not a Notice of Solicitation. The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers is issuing this notice to determine if t here are an adequate number of interested business concerns capable of providing Professional Services to provide pulse-coded radio transmitters for fishery research as describe herein. The Government intends to make one award to fulfill the following requ irements. Businesses responding to this sources sought announcement may register via email to clarence.a.miller@usace.army.mil. This announcement is based on the best information available and may be subject to future modification This announcement does no t commit the Government to award of a contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Please be advised that all information submitted will be considered procurement sensitive. The Walla Wa lla District of the Corps of Engineers is planning on purchasing radio transmitter tags for juvenile and adult salmonid studies on the Lower Snake River, Washington. The following tags are required: Lotek model MCFT-7A, or equivalent 600 transmitters f or gastric implantation in adult spring and fall Chinook salmon and Lotek model MCFT-3A 300 transmitters for gastric implantation in adult steelhead trout. These tags will be used to evaluate adult salmonid passage at Little Goose and Lower Granite Dams . Also required are 60 Lotek model NTC-4-2L transmitters, or equivalent, for use in adult Pacific Lamprey in the Columbia and Lower Snake rivers. These tags will utilize the 2000 Lotek code set. All tags purchased under this contract will be puls e-coded tags that are compatible with Lotek receivers. Transmitters used in these studies are required to have a proven track record of use in large rivers in the vicinity of hydroelectric dams.
