Item 0001 NSN 3040-00-334-9833 NZ, P/N: 4043224 Applicable to F-100/200/220E Engine. Size/Dimensions: HEIGHT: .985 inches, WIDTH: .390 inches, LENGTH 5.00 inches. Function: Allows the Sync Ring to properly position the balance convergent segments augmentation. Predominant material of manufacture: Titanium Alloy. Destination: FB2039: Min 936 Max 5613 by 30 Jun 2008. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 11 Jan 2008. The anticipated award date will be 11 Feb 2008. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. A FIRST ARTICLE TEST MAY BE REQUIRED. Qualifications requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending SARS. Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARS as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. United Technologies Corp (Cage Code 052661) and Whitcraft Corp (Cage Code 032543) are currently the only approved sources. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualifications requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR Clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualifications requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
