Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District is requesting industry review and comment of the draft specifications for an upcoming solicitation titled, Emergency Levee Response Requirements IDIQ. The requirement will provide rapid respon se for emergency levee repair and flood control work within the Sacramento Districts area of responsibility. In the event of an emergency repair or flood control work, the contractor shall required to mobilize and begin work within eight (8) hours of not ification. The Government intends to award three (3) IDIQ Requirements contracts, one for each identified Region and each with an estimated value not to exceed $200,000,000. Each IDIQ contract will consist of a 1-year Base Period plus three 1-year Option Periods. Work requirements will be awarded via individual Task Orders; each Task Order will require bonding. The project is categorized under NAICS Code 237990, SIC Code 1629 and FSC Code Z299. The Small Business Size Standard, as established by the U.S. Small Business Administration, for the identified NAICS Code is $31,000,000. PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. This announcement serves ONLY as a request for industry review of the specifications and comments, recommendatio ns, or suggestions. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation will be issued in February or March 2008. The draft documents can be accessed only via a secure Government website known as FedTeDS. Access to documents on the FedTeDS website w ill be via a hyperlink. The hyperlink will be inserted into the notice for this acquisition posted on both the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/) and the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). The hyperlink w ill be imbedded within text and will not appear as a website address; in FedBizOpps, you will first click on the blue link titled, Technical Data Package (TDP) 01; once you click this link, the next web-page will contain another blue link titled, Available online via the FedTeDS (Federal Technical Data Solution) website (this link will take you directly to the FedTeDS log-in). Viewing/downloading documents from FedTeDS will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov ). If you are a first-time FedTeDS user, you will also be required to register in FedTeDS (www.fedteds.gov) before accessing the solicitation documents. To register, click on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink, then select the 'Begin Vendor/Contractor Registrati on Process' option. The following information will be required: Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN); DUNS Number or CAGE Code; Telephone Number; and E-Mail Address . Once registered with FedTeDS, interested parties will then be able to utilize the posted hyperlink to log in and access the RFP documents. Important Note: The draft documents can be accessed ONLY by using the hyperlink available on either FBO or ASFI; FedTeDS is not searchable by any other means. Please note that ALL firms who wish to access the documents, both prospective primes and subs, will be required to be registered with FedTeDS and therefore must be CCR-registered, have a MPIN , and either a DUNS number or CAGE code.
