Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.603, using Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/ ), the format required for providing Line Item Pricing can be found at the above listed NECO website. The RFQ number is N00189-08-T-Z023. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2001-22 and DFARS Change Notice 20060123. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm . The NAICS code is 721110. This is a competitive, unrestricted action. Award of this solicitation will be based on the best value to the Government considering convenient location, as described below, amenities, and price. The Government reserves the right to award to other than the lowest price quoter. This requirement is for the Office of Civilian Human Resources Award/Training Conference for approximately 250-300 participants to be held in Atlanta, GA. The Annual DON EEO Awards and Recognition Ceremony are scheduled to serve as the kick-off event for the training conference. Dates: DON HR/EEO Training Conference March 31 2008 at 1730 (5:30PM) ? April 3, 2008 (12:00 pm). Location selected must have access to major airport; and proximity to local restaurants and public transportation. Lodging is preferred but not required. Preferred lodging would include: 100 sleeping rooms for attendees on the evening of check-in (March 31 until April 3, 2008). Attendees will make room reservations by calling the hotel directly. Attendees are responsible for all payments for the sleeping room. Lodging rates must be within the stated government per diem rate for the area. Maximum lodging for Atlanta, GA Fulton County is $139 for the period 01/01/08 - 03/31/08 and $129 for the period 04/01/08 - 09/30/08.Training/Conference requirements:1. Registration area, two tables six feet long with dressing and four chairs set up for the evening on 31 Mar and at 7 am each additional day. 2. Work room near registration area for meeting preparation, storage, VIP holding area to include table and chairs, available of March 31, 2008. 3. Information Center: Facility to receive incoming messages for training conference attendees, provide training conference information to attendees, etc. (required Monday ? Thursday, 31 March -3 April 2008) 4. Large room to accommodate 250-300 participants for awards ceremony, Navy band, and presentation of colors (Monday evening at 5:30, 31 March 2008). Room setup will be classroom style. Room must have a stage with enough room to accommodate 10 people and be handicap accessible. Separate area for reception following the awards ceremony. Heavy hors d?oeuvre with soft drinks, iced tea, coffee and cash bar, provide quote on standard hors d?oeuvre/beverages, actual choices may be negotiated prior to award and quote may be adjusted to accommodate alternate choices. Provide available choices/price with quote - Standing Lectern with microphone Wireless lavaliere microphone, - projector, 9' x 12' Screen with Dress Kit sound system, - 8 Channel Audio mixer board,- 1 VGA Distribution Amp and complete audio visual package. 5. Large room to accommodate 250-300 participants for plenary sessions (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, 1 - 3 April 2008). Room setup will be classroom style. Room must have a stage with enough room to accommodate 10 people and be handicap accessible. - Standing Lectern with microphone Wireless lavaliere microphone, - projector, 9' x 12' Screen with Dress Kit sound system, - 8 Channel Audio mixer board,1 VGA Distribution Amp and complete audio visual package. 6.
