Description
This is a synopsis to announce the Government's intent to issue a Request for Proposal as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19 for Armed Guard Services in Colorado. Only SDVOSB will be considered offers from large businesses and other small businesses will not be considered. The services will be for approximately 100 posts with 180 productive guards within the following Region 8 areas: Southern & Western Slope, Denver Federal Center, Denver West, Downtown Denver and Denver East, Fort Collins, Boulder, and Greeley. Interested SDVOSB parties are advised that FPS will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred which are associated with proposal preparation for a future solicitation. Government intends to solicit proposals for a basic contract period, plus four one-year option periods to commence this fiscal year. Intended tasks shall include the following: All labor, equipment, uniforms, weapons, transportation and supervision to provide armed security guard services for post consisting of 1-24 hours per day, 7 days a week, including weekends and federal holidays. Contractor shall provide and ensure contract guards are trained and have full understanding of significance of protecting and securing Federal facilities and the occupants therein; Contractor shall meet all FPS, federal/state/local requirements, maintain current and valid certifications. The prospective Contractor must be capable of meeting the start date, and must have the necessary organization, financial capabilities, experience, accounting controls, and technical skills to provide best value to the Government. Financial information may be required at a later date to determine Contractor responsibility in accordance with FAR Part 9. Government estimates total contract value will range from $35,000,000.00 to $45,000,000.00. NAICS code is 561612; Size Standard is $17.0M. Government intends to post the Request for Proposal within 30 days of this synopsis.
