Description
The U.S. Air Force, Air Combat Command intends to solicit sole source with ITT Industries, Systems Division, Colorado Springs, CO to extend the current Hemispheric Radar System (HRS) Operations and Maintenance contract F44650-03-C-0009. This extension will provide follow-on training, logistic and technical support to the Colombian Air Force on the Hemispheric Radar System program equipment in Colombia during the planned 2009 transfer of equipment ownership to the Colombian Air Force. The mission of HRS is to provide air surveillance in support of United States and allied nations counterdrug efforts throughout the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility and to support air sovereignty, search and rescue, and regional cooperation missions. The contractor shall continue to provide all personnel, supervision, and services necessary to maintain the HRS systems support of the JIATF-S counterdrug mission, while providing supplemental training, maintenance oversight, and technical support to the Colombian Air Force maintenance effort. Performance of this contract will require interface of data management systems currently in use with the automated data management system the Colombian Air Force is using to bring on line. The places of performance are Bogota, Tres Esquinas, San Andres, Marandua, San Jose, and Riohacha, Colombia, as well as Quito Ecuador and Miami and Key West, FL.
