Solicitation Number = N63394-08-T-0009 Description = This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a sole source procurement of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and using the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested parties may submit a quote. All potential offerors are made aware that this equipment is specifically designed and manufactured by IBI Systems of Ft Lauderdale, FL, to meet Aegis Combat System specifications. All quotes received before the closing date of this combined synopsis/solicitation will be considered by the Government. This agency has a requirement to procure 6 each, Operational Readiness Test System Network Emulation Terminal (ORTSNET) Workstation s, and 1 each spare kits. Additional description is as follows: Statement of Work for Procurement of ORTSNET Computer and Spare Parts for Aegis BMD 4.0.1 Shipalt 74283 Installation: Background: NAVSEA Port Hueneme Division (PHD) Code A41acts as the In Service Engineering Agent for the Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) and has engineered and developed a Windows based system called Operational Readiness Test System Network Emulation Terminal (ORTSNET) which emulates the existing display group of the ORTS equipment onboard B/L 5 Aegis ships. Scope: The general scope of this SOW is to procure the ORTSNET computer and spare parts for the installation of Aegis BMD 4.0.1 ShipAlt 74283; 3. Task Description and Deliverables: 6 ORTSNET systems IBI P/N 700204, and 1 set of spare parts, P/N 700204-SPARES; a bill of material that will include the ?as delivered? configuration by part number and serial number (when applicable); deliver by 8 weeks after receipt of award; shipp ing address will be provided at time of award. This solicitation docu ment and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-16. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items (Jan 2006), applies to this acquisition and there are no addenda to the provision. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation ?
