- Description
- National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Drug Supply Program has played a major role in promoting drug abuse research by providing to the drug abuse research community a wide variety of authentic and standardized research compounds, including both unlabeled compounds, and compounds labeled with deuterium, tritium, carbon -14 , and iodine-125 isotopes. Occasionally there is a need for analysis of these drugs to verify their purity. One of the above classes of compounds is the opioid peptides; its purity is not sufficiently established. Therefore, in order to meet the demand for pure and authentic compounds, and requirements for occasional purity determination, NIDA intends to maintain and supply chemically pure and authentic peptides for research and perform analysis of compounds to verify their purity as well.
