- Description
- This Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued to obtain a contract, by means of a sealed bid, firm fixed-price procurement. An award will be made to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the terms of the invitation for bids and is most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR PART 14. This solicitation will be issued as N40085-08-R-2121. The contract will provide an approximately 940 foot long, 32 foot wide, two lane reinforced concrete vehicular bridge from Coasters Harbor Island to Coddington Point. The project includes two bridge abutments, caisson piles, pre-cast box beams and decking, connection of bridge to existing roadways, and other incidental related work. The contract to budget amount for this procurement is $14,000,000.00. The Basis of Award for this procurement shall be based on price and price related factors included in the invitation and will be awarded to the lowest price responsive, responsible offeror. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids prior to award. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued on or about 11 February 2008. Tentative date/time for submission of bids will be on or about 14 March 2008, 2:00 PM (EDT). Tentative date/time for the public bid opening will be on or about 14 March 2008, 2:00 PM (EDT). Location of the bid opening will be: Naval Station Norfolk, NAVFAC MIDLANT NE IPT, 9324 Virginia Avenue, Building Z-144, Room 115, Norfolk, Virginia.
