Description
This procurement is being solicited as "UNRESTRICTED" to local contractors within Japan with the intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Construction contract for Whole House Restoration, Monzen Townhouses, Phase 1, U. S. MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. This project shall provide repairs required to bring the Monzen Enlisted Family Housing Units up to current Housing and Safety Standards as indicated in the contract documents. Repair work required to the entire facility shall improve and correct architectural, mechanical, electrical, and communication deficiencies. Replace existing outdated fixtures and equipment and conceal existing ceiling mounted fan coil units above the ceiling. Upgrade entire Monzen Housing area?s exterior telephone and communication lines. Modification of kitchen area; conversion of existing service court to new utility room; replacement of floor and wall finishes; replacement of built-up roofing; installation of simulated metal tile roofing; painting and repainting of interior and exterior of the building; replacement of interior and exterior doors; replacement of windows, replacement of plumbing fixtures and pipings; modification of existing air conditioning system; modification of electrical system; alarms and other communication system; restoration, cleaning and incidental related work. This contract will have a base and ten(10) additive items due to budget constraints and unpredictability of bids. The contract shall be completed within 940 calendar days (including administrative work) after the date of award. Award will be made to the most responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is the most advantageous and offers the best value to the Government considering technical and price evaluation factors.
