- Description
- The South Dakota Army National Guard (SDARNG) has a requirement for contractor served, cafeteria style meals, along with some other special types of meal requirements. The Contractor shall provide the meals as specified in the enclosed 14 Day Menu. Meals will be all-you-can-eat quantities for all meal items except the meat entr?e (portion size of meat entr?e shall be stated within the solicitation). Contractor shall provide all subsistence, supplies, and labor for the commercial meals. This shall be a turnkey operation where the Government will provide the facility and miscellaneous food preparation equipment under accountability. Any other equipment to be provided by the Contractor. Government facility to be utilized is Freedom Hall (Bl dg 159) at the Regional Training Institute, Ft. Meade, SD, (which is in close proximity to Sturgis, SD). Presently it is anticipated that the proposal schedule will require proposals for each of the following catagories: Breakfast Meal, Lunch Meal, Dinner Meal, and field soup serving. The meals will be required during the approximate time frame of 31May 26Jul08. Includes 4 potential Option Periods. The Government will evaluate each prospective offer utilizing proposed costs for all meals bas ed on the tentative numbers provided. The contractor must be found acceptable based on the factors listed in Clause 52.212-2 in the Solicitation. The awardee shall meet all requirements of a food preparation/serving business within the State of South Dakota. No award shall be made unless the Contracting Officer makes confirmation of affirmative determination of responsibility for the potential contractor. Potential contractor must complete the Central Contractor Registration process prior to a ward of contract. This acquisition shall be 100% small business set aside. For NAICS 7223 (formerly SIC 5812) for Food Service Contractor the small business size standard is $19M. The solicitation and any amendments will be available at the Website, htt p://sdguard.ngb.army.mil and then by selecting Contracting . It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available at this website o/a 7Mar08. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to participate in the site visit, tentatively scheduled fo r 28Mar08. Official date of site visit shall be within the solicitation package. Tentative RFP solicitation response date is 8Apr08.
