Description
The Contractor shall provide the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with a web-based integrated library system (ILS) designed to meet the core functionality requirements of the SEC Library. The ILS must be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), state-of-the-art, customizable product. The system will serve the needs of 5,000 SEC staff and contractors nationwide. The system sought under this effort will function as the library's card catalog. The system will be available across SEC for searching. Only library staff (approx. 15 people) will enter information into the system. Approximately 100 concurrent users should be sufficient for searching. The system shall be an open system with an XML API and the ability to export data at any time in a variety of formats, including MARC and XML. The ILS must be based on SQL Server or Oracle. The system shall manage cataloging, circulation, interlibrary loan, serials control, acquisitions, text/images, full text indexing, keyword/author/title/subject searches, and vendor/order records for library requisitions. The system shall have the capability to create web-enabled customized databases and be able to create, download, import and edit MARC records. The Contractor shall provide installation, configuration, conversion, loading, and minor customization support, as well as database testing and confirmation. In addition, the Contractor shall provide informal training to library staff. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-FEB-2008).
