Description

The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), located in Arlington, VA, is seeking eligible sources capable of completing construction of a new fish hatchery building, approximately 13,760 square feet on the main level with an approximate 1,740 square foot mezzanine. The building will be of reinforced masonry bearing wall construction with wood / glulam roof structure, and a concrete slab-on-grade. The building will include a fish rearing tank room, incubation room, supply and storage rooms, dry and wet labs, offices, employee welfare areas, vehicle garage bays, and visitor space and restrooms on the mezzanine, served by an elevator. Work shall also include excavation, fill, subgrade preparation, and rerouting of existing site utilities. The existing hatchery is adjacent to the construction site and will be operational through the construction period. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A request for proposal will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov approximately on April 1, 2008 with drawings and specifications available for download. Tentative award date - July 1, 2008.
