- February 11, 2008 Subject: Pre-solicitation Notice to the Infrastructure Needs Project/RFP No. 294-2008-003 Dear prospective offerors: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the West Bank and Gaza intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), to implement the program described below. The scope of this solicitation is to obtain the services of multiple US Construction contractors to implement Task Orders directly or through sub-contracting or both for the construction, rehabilitation of roads, transportation infrastructure, buildings, water, wastewater, health facilities, schools, and other infrastructure works that USAID may specify and describe. Task Orders issued under this indefinite quantity contract will provide for the construction of new and the rehabilitation of existing regional infrastructure, including primary and secondary roads, bridges, water transportation networks, wastewater treatment and reuse, government office buildings, schools and clinics, electrification, sports facilities, warehouses, food storage facilities, and other critical infrastructure. All work to be undertaken under the contract will be authorized in the form of Task Orders. Each Task Order will be competed and issued separately. The major types of construction deliverables under this activity will likely vary, though roads and water are expected to represent the largest share of the construction activities. Potential types of Works Task Orders are as follow: -Construction and Rehabilitation of Roads -Construction and Rehabilitation of Water Pumping Station and Transmission Systems. -Construction and Renovation of Schools -Construction and Renovation of Health Clinics/Hospitals -Construction and rehabilitation of Municipal and local government infrastructure -Construction and Rehabilitation of Wastewater Treatment Plants -Construction of Youth and Sports Facilities -Purchase of Construction Materials -Other civil works: The Contractor may be required to construct/rehabilitate other infrastructure facilities that will be identified later and infrastructure needed for success of USAID programs in WBG. The solicitation will be posted on the FEDBIZOPPS web page (http://www.fbo.gov/). In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of the solicitation is limited to this electronic medium only. It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation to ensure that it has been received in its entirety and USAID bears no responsibility for data error resulting from this transmission. Requests for other copies of the solicitation will be disregarded without notice to the requestor.
