- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC is seeking responses to this Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability of potential Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB), Veterans Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), HUB Zone, 8(a), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) or Small Businesses (SB) qualified contractors and vendors to be considered for the construction of a clinical addition and associated infrastructure improvements at Fayetteville VA Medical Center, 1100 N. College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 72703. The project will include construction of an approximately 144,000 SF clinical addition, renovation of approximately 15,000 SF of existing space, associated lead and asbestos abatement, site work, underground utilities, relocation of existing and construction of new utility systems and associated facilities, construction of roadways and parking lots, landscaping, and incidental related work. The contractor must be a General Construction Firm with an approved NAICS Code 236220 and the size standard is $31 Million. The estimated cost of this project is between $50,000,000 and $100,000,000. Prospective contractors must have bonding capacity for the project. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION. Small Business Contractors and vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Company Name, 2. Address, 3. Point of Contact, 4. Phone number and E-mail address, 5. Business size determination and qualifying Small Business status, 6. Certification of Small Business Status, 7. Available Bonding Capacity, 8. Construction experience demonstrated by projects of similar scope, size, and complexity. Responders should describe 3 projects completed in the last 3 years and include: a. Contracting Agency Address & contracting officers name and telephone number, b. Contract Number, date and amount of award, date of completion of your portion of the contract, c. Description of Items/Services provided under the contract,d. Amount of bonding provided, e. If performance was as a subcontractor, please provide prime contractor point of contacts name, address and telephone number. Please provide your responses and direct any questions or concerns to the Contracting Officer Frank Clemons at frank.clemons@va.gov by April 25, 2008. Note that this is not a Request for Proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents, but an RFP is anticipated to be available Mid September 2008. Small business concerns failing to respond to this add will not be precluded from responding to the solicitation, if issued.
