Description
The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Harpers Ferry Center, is soliciting proposals to provide department-wide contracts to establish nationwide support services for the development, planning, design, fabrication, and installation of museum interpretive exhibits. These department-wide contracts will provide parks with assistance in rehabilitating or replacing old and outdated exhibits or in producing new displays for parks with no exhibits. Exhibits include, but are not limited to, graphic panels, display cases, lighting systems, audiovisual presentations, interpretive programs, photographs, murals, display transparencies, scale models, full size models, sculpted or cast human figures, topo maps, dimensional maps and displays, artifact mounts, interior signage, menu and bulletin boards, information desks, storage units, seating, sales display fixtures, and associated structural elements such as displays walls, platforms, barriers, and other display support structures. Facilities in which museum exhibits are located include contemporary visitor centers, contact stations, and historic buildings of various types. Historic buildings, which contain museum exhibits, include homes, public buildings, forts, industrial buildings, and architectural monuments or memorials. Work includes, but is not limited to developing, planning, designing, fabricating, and installing museum interpretive exhibits. A specific scope of work will accompany each task order. The government anticipates award of up to five Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. Geographic awards are contemplated. This solicitation is totally set-aside for small businesses. These contracts will be issued for a one-year period with priced options for four additional years of continued performance. Each contract will contain a guaranteed minimum of $2,500 for each year. The maximum workload for each contract will be $2,500,000 per year. The solicitation will be available via Electronic Commerce on or about April 28, 2008. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued.
