Description

This project is for AG-51A8-S-08-0008, Hydro-axe mowing (or comparable mechanical mowing), of approximately 143 acres of red cedar, autumn olive, and other hardwood shrubs and sapling growth, in Johnson, Pope and Hardin Counties on the Hidden Springs Ranger District, Vienna IL of the Shawnee National Forest. Shrubs and saplings are generally less than 15 feet tall and diameters up to 9” DBH. There are 78 acres in the Pennant Bar Tract and 65 acres in the Walters Tract. These two locations are approximately 60 miles distance apart. All inquiries are to be directed to the Contracting Officer at (618) 253-1044. Solicitations are to be mailed to USDA Forest Service, Shawnee National Forest, 50 Hwy 145 South, Harrisburg, IL 62946. Bid Packages will be posted on Fed Biz OPS http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on April 25, 2008.
