- This announcement constitutes a Source Sought Synopsis. This is not a Request for Proposal and will be used to identify SBA Certified 8(a) and/or Hub Zone and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small business firms for the purpose of determining how thesolicitation will be advertised. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Jacksonville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers is planning a project for work that includes dredging approximately 61,000 cubic yards of muck/sand material from Stevenson Creek Estuary Reach 1, approximately 1700 linear feet, to a depth limit of -3.5 feet NGVD plus allowable over depth of 0.5 foot. Dredge approximately 33,000 cubic yards of muck/sand material from Estuary Reach 2, approximately 1900 linear feet, to a depth limit of -2.5 feet NGVD plus allowable over depth of 0.5 foot. Develop and execute material separation and management plan to process dredged material and transport muck material to designated site. Place spoil material in upland site located approximately 21 miles northeast of project site. Place clean, sandy material in City of Clearwater Maintenance Yard located 5 miles from project site. Utilize clean, sandy material to create 15,488 square yards of mangrove habitat in Stevenson Creek Reaches 1 and 2. Develop, maintain, and restore provided process site and staging area located near easterly limit of project. Work also includes turbidity monitoring and elutriate testing. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000. Please provide a Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your skills, experience, and knowledge required to perform the specified type of work. This SOC should be a brief description of your companys capabilities. The contractors should provide brief references of jobs they have performed and the magnitude of construction. Also, interested contractors must include bonding information that the company has the capability of receiving bonding up to $5 million. If we do not receive an adequate number of qualified respondents (i.e., two or more responsible firms), the solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis and all firms regardless of size shall be eligible and encouraged to compete for this project. REMEMBER: DO NOT REGISTER AS A PLAN HOLDER AT THIS TIME. THE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL CARRY A DIFFERENT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER ANDREGISTRATION WILL BE REQUIRED AT THAT TIME. Receipt of potential offerors SOC shall be no later than twenty (10) calendar days from the date of this notice by 4:00 pm.
