Description

The Social Security Administration, Region II, seeks a contractor to provide and install fabric-covered acoustical wall panels at the Social Security Administration (SSA) Queens Social Security Card Center (QSSCC) at the Joseph P. Addabbo Federal Building in Jamaica, NY. The contractor shall provide and install fabric-covered acoustical panels along the perimeter of the reception area above approximately 21 teller-type windows, and at 17 locations where the panels would be installed perpendicular to the windows thus serving as privacy dividers. Contractor employees will be required to pass a security background check, part of which may include being fingerprinted, before having access to the SSA facility. A site visit for prospective quoters will be conducted, the time and date for which are in the solicitation. The complete solicitation will be available for downloading on approximately April 23, 2008. This is a total small business set aside with NAICS code 238320. However, the small business size standard for a concern which submits an offer in its own name, but which proposes to furnish an item which it did not itself manufacture, is 500 employees.
