- This solicitation will be extended from the closing date of April 28, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. to May 16, 2008 at 3:00 P.M via amendment 0010, which will be posted on the DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/ on or about April 25, 2008. Changes to the subject solicitation closing date are included in amendment 0010. The contact information has changed. See current point(s) of contact below for new points of contact. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is the inventory control point for purchasing dental supplies for U.S. soldier, sailors, airmen/women, and marines around the world. This is an open season solicitation from which the U.S. Government intends to award multiple contracts to manufacturers and distributors of dental supplies. Examples of items being solicited include, but are not limited to, acrylics, anesthetics, articulating paper/accessories, burs, cement & liners, cosmetic dentistry (bonding agents/etching gels), crown forms, disposables, endodontic instruments/products, finishing & polishing materials, hand-pieces, instruments, impressions material/accessories, infection control substances, matrix material, pins & posts, preventives, rubber dam & accessories, uniforms, waxes, dental x-ray film, and other miscellaneous dental items. The estimated value of the resultant contracts is $16,000,000 annually. Contract terms will be one base year and four option years. The contractor shall submit a Product Catalog, listing all dental items available to the customer ordering, under the resultant contracts. These resulting multiple contracts will be used to support our DoD military customers worldwide, non-DoD Federal Government customers, as well as DSCP, acting as the customer. DSCP is the single order entry point under these contracts. Customers will be ordering supplies utilizing an internet-based web site. This solicitation will be available on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home on or around December 10, 2003. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar menu. Choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered with the DLA Procurement Gateway to download RFPs. If you are not registered, you will be directed on how to do so at the time you request the downloadable file. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). In order to download and view these documents you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com if you need to update. Gatway technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment) impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. This solicitation is a standing solicitation from which the U.S. Government contemplates award of multiple contracts for supplies and/or services. There is no closing date for receipt of offers; therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence.
