Description

The Regional Appraisal Team is requesting inquiring on a proposal for self-contained appraisal reports estimating the market value of 15 typical lots, spread throughout 12 tracts in the Tahoe National Forest. The tracts are located along Highway 49 from Good Years Bar to Yuba Pass, some are close to Bowman Lake, with one at Rainbow along I-80 and one close to Squaw Valley. Certified mailings will need to be sent to all 171 recreation residence permit holders 30 days in advance of the site visit. Lot inspections along with any other project meetings with permittees occur on the weekends. The appraisal project is tentatively scheduled to occur in the summer, tentatively July 18-20, 2008. All appraisals will be prepared in compliance with the Cabin Users Fair Fee Act of 2000 (CUFFA), Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. One report may combine several tracts in common geographical areas. The Forest Service will provide an electronic mailing list of all permit holders, Forest, topo, and tract maps, copies of special use permits, CUFFA contract specifications and Forest contacts.
