Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK intends to award a sole source contract to the State of Alaska (SOA) Department of Transportation. The SOA will provide King Salmon Airport runway maintenance and operations. This purchase will be made under Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This requirement includes snow removal and ice abatement, foreign object debris (FOD) removal and vegetation control. The SOA owns the land and resources needed for this requirement. Duration of the contract will be one (1) basic year and four (4) option years. The request for proposal will be sent to the SOA on or about 15 May 2008 with responses due on or about 15 June 2008. This acquisition is classified under the NAICS code 488119. The small business size standard is $6.5M. The anticipated award date is 15 Aug 2008. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers.
