- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice for the purpose of obtaining market research only. No proposals are being requested nor accepted under this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, will use information obtained under this notice to develop an acquisition strategy to meet the needs of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The intent of this sources sought notice is to assess industry’s small business concerns including: Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) capabilities and interest in constructing gauge houses that meet the needs of the NOAA. This requirement is for the construction of two (2) 10 foot by 10 foot by 8 foot brick gauge houses; one each in Menominee, Wisconsin and Holland, Michigan. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this program is 236210, Industrial Building Construction, with a corresponding Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 1541 and a Business Size Standard of $31 million. The total estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Potential Offerors are requested to respond to this Sources Sought Notice with the following information (responses should be limited to five (5) pages): 1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, and email address; 2) Capability to perform project, to include logistics, complexity, and project size; 3) Business size to include designation as a HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.; 4) List of no more than three similar projects performed within the last three years (including contract number, award date, dollar value, project location, and point of contact); 5) Positive statement of intent to bid if a set-aside exists. Interested Offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought Notice no later than 5:00 PM Eastern on 12 May 2008.
