Description
NASA/LaRC has a requirement for an Amorphous Silicon X-Ray Detector with thefollowing specifications: Active Pixel Area at Least 29.1 x 40.5 cm (11.5 in. x 16.0 in) At Least 2,304 (h) by3,200 (v) Active Pixels Pixel Pitch no greater than 127 m Limiting Resolution at least 3.94 lp/mm DQE greater then 30% MTF, X-Ray greater than 45% at 1 lp/mm Energy Range at least 40 - 150 kVp Fill Factor at least 57% Contrast Ratio over 12cm less than 2% Contrast Ratio over 1cm less than 10% At least 14 bit A/D Conversion Maximum Frame Rate greater than or equal to 1 fps for full imager Data Output shall be gigabit Ethernet NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Imtec Corporation. The X-Ray Detector isreplacing an existing Hytec X-Ray Detector and must be compatible with the existing HytecFlashCT system installed at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC). The FlashCT system isused to acquire and analyze computed tomography x-ray images for non-destructiveevaluation of materials and structures in support of various research programs. Imtec isthe only know supplier and manufacturer of the Hytec equipment. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon 15 May 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
