Description

This item requirement is for NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION /AIR 5.1.6 at Patuxent River, MD. This requirement includes the following product: KSR6000 MASS PROPERTIES INSTRUMENT (QTY 1). Specific level of accuracy of 1 part in 50,000 force restoration technology is required from the product above. The Government contemplates a firm-fixed-price contract. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Space Electronics LLC, 81 Fuller Way, Berlin, CT 06037, under the authority of FAR 6.301-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. All capability statements received in response to this notice must be received by 22 May 2008 and will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the response received. NOTE: DFARS 252-204-7004 Alt A “Required Central Contractor Registration” applies to all solicitations. Lack of registration in CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. If a competitive procurement is initiated, it will be made available electronically at the NAVAIR website, http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/index.cfm.
