- This project includes all work associated with replacing the roof at the Air Traffic Control Tower Base Building, Lambert International Airport, St. Louis, Missouri. The overall project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Work covers the installation of a new Firestone Platinum Roofing System on the Federal Aviation Administration Air traffic Control Tower facility base building at Lambert International Airport. In addition, the contractor shall include all related items of work as noted herein or indicated on the drawings or otherwise required to complete the specified elements of work and provide the requested warranties for this work. 2.Remove and salvage the existing lightning protection conductors and terminals and reinstall following replacement of the roof in a manner to match the existing installation methods and locations. Remove concrete pavers and store for re-use after the installation of the new membrane. Remove the existing parapet wall preformed metal coping and counter flashing (at tower wall). Existing coping and counter flashing can be re-used if it is not damaged during removal but all joints must be pulled apart, cleaned and re-caulked/sealed during re-installation. Remove and dispose of the existing membrane and protection mat to expose the existing insulation. Remove and replace any wet sections of existing insulation to match and install a " Firestone Fiber-Top insulation loosely laid over the existing insulation per manufacturer's specifications. Install new loose laid 90 mil EPDM membrane per manufacturer's specifications. Furnish and install new membrane flashing at walls and penetrations per manufacturer's specifications. Reinstall coping and counter flashing. Install new Firestone protection mat over new EPDM membrane. Reinstall existing concrete pavers replacing any broken or cracked with new. Reinstall lightning protection system. Time: 10 Calendar Days Estimated Cost: Between $100,000 - $200,000 NACI: 238160 Size Standards: $13.0 Million This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE project.
