- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, with Mizuho Orthopedic Systems Inc, 30031 Ahern Avenue, Union City, CA to provide an Mizuho OSI Modular Table System to the facility. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing this equipment to the Contracting Officer via e-mail gary.rogers4@va.gov or fax 319-339-7121. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-263-08-RQ-0217 and issued as a request for quote (RFQ).
