Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 3, Ft. Snelling, MN, intends to award a sole source contract with option years to Northwest Marine Technology, Inc., for the procurement of two (2) Coded Wire Tagging (CWT), Trailer Systems. The initial award will be for one manual CWT Trailer System and one automatic CWT Trailer System with additional requirements of future manual and automatic trailer systems projected. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Northwest Marine Technology, Inc. is considered the only source for these trailer systems due to its unique patented coded wire tagging equipment and the capability to automatically inject coded wire tags and excise adipose fins on juvenile salmonids. Each group of tags is made for a specific agency containing an individual tracking code. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with this requirement listed. Responses are due NLT June 20, 2008 at 2:30 PM CST and can be sent to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, ATTN: Richard Hillard, Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, 1 Federal Drive, Ft Snelling, MN 55111-4056. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 334511 with the small business size standard of 750 employees.
