Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Lynn Simmons of Seattle, WA for assistance in operating a real-time seismic data acquisition system. This is the only known source with the specialized knowledge and experience with the Earthworm system at the University of Washington, user expertise in various operating systems, and experience with a wide array of digital seismic data loggers and sensor systems (Refraction Technology, Terra Technology, Kinemetrics, Guralp, Sercel). The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contract Specialist by e-mail (rpaprocki@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in the announcement.
