Description
The contractor shall provide Inpatient Dialysis Services for and at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Omaha Division, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE 68105, on an as-needed basis, twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions stated in the solicitation. Care shall be provided regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The equipment and supplies will be Government-furnished. The contractor will be reimbursed for onl6 those services actually performed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments; being responsible for knowledge and compliance of nursing/dialysis policies and procedures and being involved in planning and evaluating patient care. Perform duties as above under professional guidance by the on-site supervisor or COTR. The contractor has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: The Key Qualifications include: a. Citizen of the united States, b. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency, c. Licensure. Current, full, active, unrestricted licensure to practice dialysis in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or in the District of Columbia, d. A minimum of one (1)year of successful RN dialysis practice with demonstration of appropriate clinical skills, including consistent compliance with universal precautions and other infection control principles, e. BSN pr4ferred, f. Current BCLS certification, g. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, h. Ability to ass4ess and prioritize multiple clinical situations chronic and acute in various situations, i. Excellent physical assessment skills, j. Dependable, self-directed, and flexible, including flexibility in assignment and time scheduling.
