The ERDC requires a vehicle towed EM induction instrument to characterize the subsurface from less than two (2) meters to depths of about 20 meters. The instrument must be able to rapidly collect data and simultaneously measure electromagnetic properties at more than one depth. The instrument must be capable of cm spatial resolution and use multiple frequencies and/or receivers to permit variable depth penetration into the subsurface to detect small targets. The instrument must be capable of at least 30 Hz sample frequency and 5 to 10 mph collection speed to obtain the resolution to detect small targets. Additionally the instrument must operate at temperatures in excess of 50 degrees Celsius. Delivery of these instruments is required within 90 days after contract award. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
