After approximately one (1) year, a second SIR is planned for public announcement via the internet to allow new vendors an opportunity to apply for consideration to be added to the QVL. At that time, existing vendors will be asked to confirm their continued interest to remain on the list, or opt out of the list, by responding in writing. A non-response will be viewed as lack of interest resulting in possible removal from the QVL. Also, vendors may submit a written request to withdraw from the list at any time. A second update of the QVL is planned to occur approximately three (3) years after it has been created, however, the FAA reserves the right to unilaterally add vendors or update the list at any time. If it is ever determined that the QVL approach is not in the best interest of the FAA, all members on the list will be provided with advanced written notice that the QVL is being terminated.
