Description
The Purpose of this Amendment # 3 is to revise the language inSection M.2 - Oral Presentation and to extend the date to submit proposals. AMENDMENT NO. 3 Interpreting Services M.2 TECHNICAL EVALUATION FACTORS o Oral presentation So that the Government may be assured the offeror can satisfy the requirements of this schedule, including interpreting skills, techniques, etc., it will conduct oral presentations with the firm that submits the lowest price proposal. A Technical Evaluation Team, which will include deaf and hearing impaired staff members, will evaluate the oral presentation to determine if the prospective awardee has the required skills needed to perform all the government’s requirements. The skills to be evaluated include: oClarity of signing using American Sign Language Contractor must have demonstrated excellent interpreting in ASL and the necessary specialized vocabulary. oFluency of Signing oDemonstrate minimal pauses, lack of hesitation, smooth transition between signs, etc. oReceptive Skills oDemonstrate in-depth knowledge of deaf culture and the deaf community. Exhibit interpreting skills with accuracy, efficiency and impartiality for diverse population groups with deaf/hearing individuals. oExpressive Skills oDemonstrate eye, hand, and facial expressions that contribute to efficient and effective communication. Good body movement, good eye contact, etc. oFlexibility of interpreters oDemonstrate professional experience with interpreting for a wide variety of clients in various work settings. Three scenarios will be given to the offeror to interpret for evaluation.
