- This Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes to locate potential sources capable of providing 432 Portable Lighting Systems. Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC) is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirements planning. The information requested by this synopsis will be used within the Air Force to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. Please note: The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. 1.The Portable Lighting Systems should have (as a minimum) the following components: Portable Lighting System - Four Visible & Covert Parameter Illumination Light heads, Four 2.3ft Quad pod Light Stands, One two-bay Battery Charger, Two Wireless Controls, Four UBI-2590 Batteries, Four Battery Shields & Power cables, One Wheeled Systems Case, Weight 49lbs, Convert Illumination of up to 300ft by 300ft, 15 hour run time, Able to withstand degrees of -4 F to 140 F, wireless system control and operation via wireless remote (Qty - 100) Portable Lighting System Spare Kit - Four UBI-2590 Batteries, Four battery shields & power cables, Four 2.3ft Quad pod Light Stands, Eight Replacement Optic Plates, 50 Kit Screws/Fasteners, One Wheeled Systems Case (Qty - 46) Portable Visible and Covert Lighting System - Two Visible & Covert Light heads, Two 5.2ft Quad pod Light Stands, One two-bay Battery Charger, Two wireless controls, Four UBI-2590 batteries, Four Battery Shields & Power cables, One wheeled systems case, Weight under 80lb (Qty - 98) Portable Visible and Covert Lighting - One visible & convert light head, one 6.5ft Quad pod Light Stand, Two UBI-2590 Batteries, Two Battery Shields and power cables, One Two-bay battery charger, One Wheeled System Case, One Wireless Control (Qty - 8) Portable Visible and Covert Lighting System Spare Replacement Kit - Four UBI-2590 Batteries, Four Battery Shields & Power cables, Two 5.2ft Quad pod Light Stands, Four IR Concentrator Lenses, 50 Kit Screws/Fasteners, One Wireless Control, One Wheeled Systems Case (Qty - 39) Portable Visible and Covert Lighting System Spare Replacement Kit - One 6.5ft Quad pod Light Stand, Two batteries, two battery shields and power cables, one wheeled system case, One Wireless Control, Four IR Concentrator lenses, 50 Kit screws/fastener (Qty - 4) Portable Generator Power System - Portable Quiet Recharging Gas Generator, Power Cabling, integrated power supply case, power cable (Qty - 81) Portable Visible and Convert Four (4) Meter Tower Illumination System - Two Standard Visible & Convert Light heads, One 4 Meter (13.1ft) Mast Stand with Six 50lb capacity sand bag for stability, One Li-ion Power supply system, One portable quiet recharging Gas Generator, Four System Carrying Cases, Two Wireless Remote Controls, Convert IR Illumination of Target area up to 1000 feet, 10- hour battery-powered system operation, 10-hour system battery recharge capability (Qty - 44) Portable Visible and Convert 4 Meter Tower Illumination System Spares Replacement Kit - One Replacement Light head Electronics, Six replacement sand bags, One Replacement Li-Ion Power supply system, One replacement portable quiet recharging gas generator, 50 kit screws/fasteners, 2 replacement antenna (Qty - 12) 2. Information requested: a. Company Information. Name, Address, telephone number, FAX number, point of contact(s) name(s), phone number, e-mail address. b. Capability Information should include a brief description of experience in providing the type of support described above. Please include contract references relating to Portable Lighting Systems to include: Contract number; agency supported, period of performance, original contract value, and Point of Contact (POC) with current phone/fax number. The capability package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Air Force is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. Capability packages should be limited to no more than 15 pages (you may print front & back). c. Identification of business size and whether currently designated a small business as defined the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 19 and also currently listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system. Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and may be found at www.sba.gov/size/sizetable2002.html. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335129. Small Business size is 500 employees. d. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. 3. Submission Information. Response by e-mail is required and should be forwarded to Treniece Stith, Contracting Officer, via e-mail at Treniece.stith@scott.af.mil. Response must be received by this office at or before 12:00 pm local time on 15 Jul 08. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted or for any costs associated with providing the information.
