- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-08-Q-4266. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334111, Size standard is 1000 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to General Microsystems Inc, Rancho Cucamonga, CA for (15 ea) Model V265 Single Board Computers (SBC), 512MB DDR-2666 memory modules and 40GB hard drives. Required delivery is 8 to 10 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. This purchase is in direct response to a Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) request for legacy equipment upgrades to previously delivered workstation systems. Previously, a V265 SBC was purchased from this manufacturer and has been used to develop interfacing hardware. No other authorized source has been found for this SBC. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
