- The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) seeks information on commercial vendors that are capable of providing an alternative fuel vehicle/bus for the Administrative Services Group/Transportation Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed and specifications are developed for an alternative fuel vehicle/bus that can meet NIST's minimum requirements, NIST may conduct a competitive procurement and subsequently award a Purchase Order. NIST has a need for an alternative fuel vehicle/bus that would meet the following requirements: 髭ngine/Fuel Type: 2 types or possibilities will be considered: 1.CNG2 which uses Natural Gas or Unleaded Gasoline or 2.100% Natural Gas 稗ody/Chassis 1.Passenger Capacity: 28-32 adult passenger 2.Handicap Access 謬ransmission 1.Automatic 2.Transynd Synthetic Transmission Fluid Automatic 疋oors and Windows 1.Door Entrance-power operated 2.Window Passenger Fixed Touring 3.Wipers Windshield Intermittent 畢ights and Lighting 1.Daytime Running Lights 肘nterior 1.Auxiliary Heater (Min. 100,000 BTUH) 2.Tilt Steering 3.Air Conditioning (Min. 105,000 BTUH) 百eats 1.Driver痴 Seat, suspension Type (Air Suspension) 2.Seating, Hip to Knee 百afety 1.Back-up Alarm 2.Safety Kit, Fire Extinguisher & ECT 3.Power Antilock Brakes, Front and Rear (Hydrualic or Air) 4.Back-up and Mobile DVR System 謬ire and Wheels 1.Tires (All Season) 標arranty 1.OEM Comprehensive Warrant (3 years/36,000 miles) 2.Vendor Body Warrant (5 years/150,000 miles) NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, foreign, and small businesses. Small businesses are defined under the associated NAICS code for this effort, 336112, as those domestic sources having 1000 employees or less. Please include your company痴 size classification in any response to this notice. Companies that manufacture an alternative fuel vehicle/bus are requested to email a detailed report describing their abilities to todd.hill@nist.gov no later than the response date for this sources sought notice. The report should include achievable specifications and any other information relevant to your product or capabilities. Also, the following information is requested to be provided as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name of the company that manufactures the alternative fuel vehicle/bus for which specifications are provided. 2. Name of company(ies) that are authorized to sell the alternative fuel vehicle/bus, their addresses, and a point of contact for the company (name, phone number, fax number and email address). 3. Indication of number of days, after receipt of order that is typical for delivery of such vehicles. 4. Indication of whether each vehicle for which specifications are sent to todd.hill@nist.gov are currently on one or more GSA Federal Supply Schedule contracts and, if so, the GSA FSS contract number(s). 5. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing its minimum specifications and finalizing its market research.
