- This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will now be issued. This solicitation number is 617847 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a small business set-aside. Delivery and acceptance will be at Bethesda, Maryland. The National Institute on Drug Abuse on behalf of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) has a requirement for a Promise VTAK J-Class 16X SATA Expansion Chassis. This system will provide and additional 24 TB (unformatted) of centralized file system storage for the NINDS DIR to help meet NIH Enterprise Architecture Data Principles for data capture of business assets, essential backup and secure access to assure data integrity. The system has the following requirements: 1) Promise Vrek J-Class 16X SATA Expanision, 2) Promise Vrek E-Class 16X 750 SATA RAID system (12TB), 3) Promise VTrak Subsystem Service Parta Kit, and 4) Promise 750GB Drive Module. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, is applicable. Specific evaluation criteria are (1) Ability to meet technical specifications and (2) Ability to deliver on time and within specification. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The quotation are due to July 22, 2008 3:00PM EST and will be submitted hard copy or electronically to Jasmine Snoddy, Contract Specialist, 31 Center Drive, Room 1B59, Bethesda, Maryland 20892.
