- Title: CAMPGROUND CONCESSIONAIRE Description(s): Added: M--FOREST WIDE CAMPGROUND CONCESSIONAIRE SOLICITATION, INYO NATIONAL FOREST M -- Operation of Government-owned facilities Notice Type: Sources sought The USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest in California is pleased to announce the availability of a prospectus for a 5+5 year special use permit, for the operation and maintenance of Government-owned campground and day use recreation sites located on the Mammoth and Mono Lake Ranger Districts. Two permits will be issued; one permit for the Mammoth Ranger District and one permit for the Mono Lake District. The Prospectus, available at http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/inyo/projects/campground-prospectus/index.shtml describes the business opportunity and provides instructions for submitting applications. Applications must be received by close of business (4:30 PM) on September 8, 2008 and should be submitted to the Inyo National Forest Supervisor’s Office, 351 Pacu Lane, Bishop, CA 93514, Attention: RECREATION: Jeff Marsolais (Prospectus). A selection will be made in Fall 2008 so that permits may be issued and operators in place on January 1, 2009. Please review the Prospectus carefully. Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the recreation sites at least once before submitting an application. Each applicant is expected to make an independent assessment of the business opportunity offered in this prospectus. Applicants must submit six (6) copies of their application package and supporting documents in hardcopy format. The same number of copies of the Business Plan must be submitted as a separate document, one copy of the Business Plan is to be mailed directly to the NSBDC with payment. Unless requested in writing to return proposals, all unsuccessful applicant’s proposals and supporting documents will be destroyed after the appropriate appeal period. Portions of the selected applicant’s package will become part of the special-use permit. Please ensure that all requested information is submitted. Missing or incomplete information will result in a lower rating for the corresponding evaluation criteria.
