- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is NRCS-29-ID-08. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service intends to issue an order for one Westrup LA-LS Precision Cleaner and one Westrup LA-T Lab Indented Cylinder Separator, or equal, to be used for cleaning and separating small lots of grass, legume and forb seed. The items shall have, as a minimum, the following characteristics: 1. LA-LS Lab Precision Cleaner including steel table stand, top vibratory feed hopper, main eccentric drive with variable speed drive. One main shoe with short pre-scalp, and two main screens for scalping & sifting. Main screens with ball screen cleaning with pre and final aspiration, settling chamber with collection tray for lifted product, calibrated air controls, inspection window in final air column, bottom bag filter and side mounted cyclone dust collector, bottom mounted fan with adjustable air gates. White enamel collection pans for prime and cull products. 60 hz single phase power, 110 volt, with start/stop and one set of screens. Two main screens 250 mm wide x 500 mm long. Optional items: three main screens in a ‘Z’ configuration, one larger feed hopper (25 liter), additional main screens (.5 mm to.95 mm, 1.0 mm to 1.95 mm and 2.0 mm and larger), short pre-scalp screen 2.0 mm & larger, outlet pipe connections (steel construction) for discharge to floor buckets, fan motor with frequency inverter, rotary valve for settling chamber, air velocity meter in final air column. Optional items: round hold metric screens: 1.15,1.25, 1.40, 1.55, 1.80, 2.10, 2.35, 12.75, 3.15, 3.55, 3.95, 4.35, 4.75, 5.15 and 5.55 mm./ Slotted metric screens: 1.15, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.1 / Wire screens: 6 x 20, 6 x 24, 6 x 30, 6 x 32, 6 x 34 and 6 x 38 2. LA-T Lab Indented Cylinder Separator including steel table stand, top feed hopper with vibratory feeder, main drive with mechanically variable speed rpm control, internal collection hopper which can be adjusted to vary the lifted product, with vibratory conveyor for lifted fraction, adjustable discharge gate, collection pans for through procut and lifted product, (including one cylinder), machine with 60 Hz single phase 110 volt power with start/stop and wall plug. Optional items: 25 liter hopper, frequency converter for elect, speed control, pipe connections for discharge of product. Optional items Metric indented cylinders: 2.0, 2.50, 2.75, 3.50, 4.0, 4.75 and 6.5. The two items shall be delivered no later than December 1, 2008 to Loren St. John, Aberdeen Plant Materials Center, 1494 S 2700 W, Aberdeen, ID 83210. The contract will be for the purchase, delivery and setup of the items. The manufacturer shall provide its standard commercial warranty. The offeror is also required to provide on-site training that encompasses all facets of machine operation, from basic machine maintenance to more complex electronic functions. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors – Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. There are no addenda to this provision. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation – Commercial Items does not apply to this acquisition. The offeror will be required to complete provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications – Commercial Items, with its offer.
