Description
This amendment to the synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The purpose of this amendment (0001) is to modify the specifications in CLIN 0001, add a warranty requirement, and extend the closing date of the synopsis/solicitation to 24 July 2008. Listed below is the amended CLIN 0001: A pulsed RF/Microwave source is required for a Future Naval Capability Program. It has been determined that the source must have the following specifications: (1) Size: A single bench top instrument capable of being adapted for the following frequency ranges and being able to obtain the associated peak output power levels (450MHz to 950MHz 5kW; 950MHz to 1220MHz 5kW; 1220MHz to 1535MHz 5kW; 1900MHz to 2350MHz 5kW; 2700MHz to 3100MHz 4kW; 3700MHz to 4000MHz 1kW). (2) Pulse characteristics for all frequencies are: Maximum duty cycle of 0.003 or 3% at full power output; Pulse repetition rate minimum: 10 pulses per second; Pulse repetition rate maximum: greater than 19000 pulses per second; Minimum pulse width: 0.3 micro seconds; and Maximum pulse width: greater than 85 micro seconds. (3) Input Power: 120VAC single phase. (4) Used, refurbished, or rebuilt equipment is acceptable. (5) Delivery time: 7 to 30 days after date of award. In regards to the warranty requirement, any offeror proposing used/refurbished/rebuilt equipment shall offer the same commercial warranty that the offeror would provide with that particular equipment in a brand new condition. The closing date is 24 July 2008 at 2:00 p.m., Eastern Time. Electronic quote submission is encouraged at DLGR_NSWC_XDS13@navy.mil, but the quote may also be faxed to (540) 653-6810, Attn: XDS13-8.
