- Description
- The National Center for PTSD will supply an education specialist to work with the contractor to establish representative scenarios and other evaluation criteria. The Education Specialist will assist the contractor to identify the profile of users from each main audience group. The contractor will supply a final executive report on the Center's website based on analyses as specified below. Work Required: "Virtual meeting with NCPTSD stakeholders to learn about mission of the National Center for PTSD and goals and objectives of the website. "Expert analysis of Website (www.ncptsd.va.gov) layout and design "Inspection evaluation by usability experts to identify key goals "Usability testing: Conduct one-on-one usability interviews with 5-10 members of key stake holder groups to analyze how effectively the goals identified are being achieved. The four stake holder groups include: veterans with PTSD general public, including civilians with non-combat trauma and family members of veterans with PTSD, VA clinicians who treat PTSD, and researchers with an interest in PTSD "As part of each user interview oAsk each user to find certain high profile items on our website (as determined in the initial meeting with stakeholders) oAsk the user to tell us what information they are interested in finding on our website and then have them try and find that information on the website. "We would like a written proposal for a strategy that is bi-directional. The interviews can take place anywhere geographically in the United States and the contractor will provide the users. "We would like a proposal for the strategy they will use to determine what features of our website are working well and what is not working well, determine navigation and click history, etc. "Syntheses of both qualitative observation and quantitative data "Generate an Executive Report with critiques and suggestions on how to improve the Center's Website DELIVERABLES: The contractor will create a usability report with suggested improvements to layout, design, navigation and search functionality. The report will contain detailed information on how the conclusions were reached and will recommend specific recommendations to improve usability of the web site.
