Description
AT THIS TIME FUNDING IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. A SOLICITATION WILL BE RELEASED WHEN FUNDING IS AVAILABLE. This project consists of replacing a culvert with a larger open bottom arch culvert. The work shall include installing and maintaining traffic control signing and barriers, construction survey and staking of a road and stream channel, contractor testing, soil erosion & pollution control, clearing & grubbing, dewatering the site during construction, removal of an existing culvert (5 foot diameter x approx 95 feet long), structural excavation and backfill, placing footing bedding, installing reinforced concrete footings, installing a structural plate open bottom arch (18 feet span x 9 feet x 95 feet long), placing a stream simulation rock to construct grade control steps and a rock stream bank, filling the plunge pool, placing riprap, placing, shaping and compacting a 6” inches of aggregate surfacing. All materials shall be provided by the contractor except where noted. All work on site shall be completed by August 3, 2009, under Option A, or by September 30, 2009, under Option B, as directed by the CO. The contractor must submit certification for all contract specified materials and testing including a weed-free certifications for graded aggregate, riprap, stream bed rock, seeding and mulch for review by the CO prior moving material to the job site. The project will be completed under one of two timeframes selected by the Contracting Officer after award. Offerors must bid on all items for Option A, MAY 1st to AUG. 3rd, or Option B, JUN 1st to SEPT. 30th. Option will be selected by FEB. 28, 2009. This project is located on Forest Service Road 2160, MP 2.4, on the Pacific Ranger District, of the Olympic National Forest, in Section 18, Township 24 North, Range 10 West, W.M., north of Quinault, Washington. It may be reached by driving north on State HWY 101 from Quinault, Washington, to FS Road 2100 (West Boundary Road). Take the 2100 Rd to FS Road 2160 and take the 2160 Rd East 2.4 miles to the site. The Olympic National Forest does not have sufficient funds for this project. A solicitation will be issued when funds are available. Davis Bacon wage rates are required. Performance and Payment bonds are required.
